Did you fix it, vurt? I'm desperate.Įach word should be at least 3 characters long. I have the exact same problem with Radiophobia 2.

The r2_sun_near you care about is being assigned in a console execute() command similar to what I've shown above.Ĭhange it to what you want and save and you should no longer have that problem with the mod.Īctually someone else had asked on the radiophobia 2 mod page why it doesnt save settings and the author replied he needed to edit "aa2"-script, so it seems like it should be there That get_console() command might be assigned to a variable, but that's not important. Get_console(): execute("r2_sun_near 12" ) Search for r2_sun_near in gamedata\scripts\*.script. Use a find-in-files program or that feature in a good text editor like Notepad++.

The game uses the highest-database version of any file it finds, so you don't want older files to break your game. Extract those files in alphanumeric order, as newer files will overwrite the older files of the same name. You might need to create the folder first. Extract the gamedata.dbb and higher database files into a gamedata\ folder in your SoC installation folder. If you don't, you'll need to extract one of the mod's database files (gamedata.db*), usually one of the last files in a alphanumerically sorted gamedata.db* list. Look through your gamedata\scripts\ folder if you have one. Mods bring their own issues, with a Mod Discussion section in this forum dedicated to them. My workaround was to create a macro, not optimal though to have to click a key to fix this, but its not that bad.Īh. I'm using Radiophobia 2 mod though, maybe that mod reverts settings for some reason. also on a new level the setting is reverted.

But in-game it has reverted to 12, and i have to enter the command again with "1". It can actually save this setting with "1". It doesnt matter what version unfortunately (i'm editing the correct file). See for more details and info if you still have trouble (e.g., user permissions preventing your changes).

The one that is actually used is on the path found on the first line of fsgame.ltx in your STALKER SoC install folder. Steam user? There are two locations possible in Steam where user files might be located. I don't think binding it to a key would work? I had no luck at least. Having it in the user.ltx doesn't seem to work, it resets to 12.Īny workaround for this? I tried to use Read Only for the file, but this is removed directly by the game (strange thing for a game to be able to control.) I want to use r2_sun_near 1 since this fixes the bug of glitchy shadows on the sides (at least for me).īut i constantly have to write this in the console for it to take effect.
